FROM THE RED WINE TO THE SUN

The colour of the fascade fades from the colour of the spanish red wine to the sun in the sky

For the tourist, Spain is the country of the sun and the superb rioja wine. Everything starts in the bar on the ground floor of the new building and the further you go up the tower you soon reach the sun.

The house is divided into four areas. The first three floors are the public areas with a bar, fashion store, restaurang and a lounge, the following ten floors are used for the hostel rooms. The top floors are used for apartments in different sizes and on top of the building is the viewing area with a terrace. Behind the building there is a pool and garden area open for the people living in the house.

When you enter the building you have the bar on the left and a escalator leading to the reception, the vintage clothing store and the lounge area.
On the third floor the restaurant is located with a view of the museum from the big terrace.

All the rooms in the hostel has a terrace in different sizes and viewing directions. Toilets and showers are located on every floor.

The floors above the hostel rooms are used for apartments, in this way you get a good mixture of tourist and local citizens in the house. This is also good for the economy when building the tower. In this example there are a seven different apartment, but can easily be changed into bigger or smaller apartments. The hostel rooms and apartment floors can also be mixed for a more different outcome in the exterior expression.

The material used are pine wood for all furnitures and interior details such as flooring, doors etc. Some walls are also covered with wood but otherwise painted white. The exterior could be plates of aluminium or ceramic tiles in the right colour from deep red to bright yellow.
